Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Squin.org is a technical publication. We collect minimal data and keep this policy short on purpose.

What we collect and why

We use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to understand which content is useful. This collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on page, device type, and approximate location. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not require account registration.

If you leave a comment, WordPress collects your name, email address, and IP address for spam detection. Comments are moderated before appearing.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to track sessions anonymously. WordPress sets cookies if you leave a comment or log in. No advertising or tracking cookies are used beyond Google Analytics.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial assessments — we only link to tools we have evaluated.

Third-party services

Pages may embed content from third-party services (such as YouTube or GitHub). These services may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies.

Your rights

If you have left a comment, you can request to view, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you by contacting us at [email protected].

We do not sell data to third parties.
